I specialize in preserving and creating traditional intangible cultural heritage seal carving, using the knife as a brush and stone as paper, with a deep commitment to traditional epigraphy and seal carving culture. Upholding traditional methods and standards, I study the seal styles of the Qin and Han dynasties and the schools of the Ming and Qing dynasties, paying close attention to composition and layout, the character of the lines and cuts, and the balance of space and density, recreating the spirit of a thousand years of epigraphy within the small space of a seal stone. I follow the complete traditional seal carving process: selecting stone, polishing, tracing the design, arranging the composition, carving with a knife, finishing the edges, and making rubbings, faithfully restoring the traditional craft. Every seal is carved by hand, with lines that are strong yet rounded and characters that are upright, dignified, and antique in style, combining the character of epigraphy with the refined charm of the literati. In addition to custom seals for calligraphy and painting, name seals, and book collection seals, I regularly offer intangible cultural heritage seal carving experiences, instruction, and traditional culture gatherings. I am committed to bringing this ancient art of seal carving out of ancient books and stele rubbings and into contemporary life—to preserve traditional methods through craftsmanship, pass on cultural heritage through knife and brush, and carry forward the distinctive epigraphic aesthetics and Eastern heritage of China.
